And this is what it said:
“Thank you so much for publishing my affirmations for a good night’s sleep on the GPS Guide. I watched you on Real Time with Bill Maher a few weeks ago speaking about your revelation of self-care and insomnia when you were caring for your baby daughter. I can relate so much to this as I have my six-month-old daughter here curled on my lap as I write this. As a mother you realize so much the importance of sleep and of nourishing yourself.
My daughter has been my biggest inspiration in overcoming challenges that once held me back. For the longest time I have wanted to write for the Huffington Post but continued to tell myself I wasn’t good enough. My words were not important.
I want you to know you inspire me and I have stopped believe my old rhetoric. I am emerging now as the writer I know I am and I am letting myself know I AM good enough.
Here’s an article I wrote you this morning. I hope you like it and could use it on the Huffington Post.
Either way- thank you for all you do. You are a great light in the world.”
When I wrote it I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I knew that this article was going to be published. I knew that I would finally be able to say, “here’s my article in the Huffington Post.”
Two days later I received this response from Arianna herself:
Dear Suki, many thanks for your kind note and for sharing your post. I am cc’ing our blog editor [Name withheld] to follow up. All the best, Arianna
A few days after that and my dreams came true! My article was posted and I realized the power of my own thoughts and intentions.
Here’s the article – I hope you like it!
It’s so amazing what happens when you start believing in yourself and believing that you have a voice and that your voice is IMPORTANT.
